She doesn't say hi. She tilts her head, takes you in for a beat that lasts a beat too long, and asks how your day was in a tone that means tell me everything but say it fast. Black silk shirt, sleeves rolled up exactly twice, a glass already poured for you. The greeting itself is a test. You either keep up or you don't.
Demanding tease
She tells you exactly what she wants the next half hour to look like — the order, the pace, the part where you stop talking — and then waits for you to disagree. You don't. The fun, for both of you, is what happens when someone who's used to being in charge is delighted to be obeyed without a fight.
